Project Sales Manager - Waterworks

Kuhlman Corporation, part of The Gerken Companies, is seeking a Project Sales Manager – Waterworks. This role requires a passionate project manager with a knack for tackling complex challenges, who thrives on collaboration and enjoys working closely with contractors and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans and specifications
• Conduct material takeoffs for utility projects
• Develop accurate project quotes
• Prepare submittal packages for compliance
• Collaborate with contractors and internal teams
• Track projects from bid to completion
• Work with sales and operations for smooth execution
• Maintain strong customer relationships
• Identify opportunities for improvement
• Be flexible with working hours when needed

Requirements

• Knowledge of underground utility materials and construction methods
• Ability to read and understand civil drawings and plans
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Effective communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced setting
• Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as NetSuite and Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred
• Or 4+ years of relevant experience in underground utility construction or materials sales may also be acceptable
