About the Role

This role provides leadership and coordination for cross-functional switchgear/power-distribution projects, ensuring alignment between engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and customer teams. The position drives project execution, manages risks and financial performance, facilitates stakeholder communication, and delivers high-quality solutions that support customer satisfaction and business objectives.

Typical task breakdown:

  • Project Planning & Coordination (25%) – Develop project schedules, define milestones, allocate resources, and coordinate activities across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams.
  • Project Execution & Monitoring (30%) – Track project progress, manage deliverables, resolve issues, mitigate risks, and ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Management (20%) – Serve as the primary customer contact, provide status updates, facilitate meetings, and align expectations between customers and internal teams.
  • Financial & Commercial Management (15%) – Monitor project costs, profitability, invoicing milestones, change orders, and contract compliance.
  • Risk, Quality & Continuous Improvement (10%) – Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, manage project risks, support testing and delivery activities, and drive process improvements.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience preferred; flexible with education (e.g., 2-year degree with 9 years’ experience or master’s with 3 years’ experience).
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Skills

Technical Skills

  • Project planning, scheduling, and execution management.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and operations.
  • Budget tracking, forecasting, and financial management of projects.
  • Risk, issue, and change management.
  • Ability to interpret customer specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent).
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, construction, power generation, or engineered-to-order environments.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with factory acceptance testing (FAT), commissioning, and field installation processes.
  • Understanding of electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • PMP certification or formal project management certification.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience managing large capital equipment or customer-specific engineered products.

Pay

$51.00–$52.00/hour. Final offer amounts within this range are determined by relevant skills, education, and experience.
