Project Procurement Specialist
About the role
As a Project Procurement Specialist, you will assist Project Procurement Managers, working with teams and standard build project procurement implementation plans. You will partner with commodity teams to assist with projects charter, benefits, and resource requirements and monitor active projects, updating status, eliminating roadblocks, and escalating issues. You will report to the Lead Project Procurement Manager, Supply Chain Large Capex Projects and work at our Columbia, SC site. Hybrid Work Schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Affirm procurement strategies and plans together with Offer and Project Teams.
- Affirm pricing, delivery, terms and conditions to satisfy financial, quality and delivery requirements.
- Affirm preparation and coordination of the RFx Process and establish sourcing strategies for suppliers and services.
- Affirm preparation of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA).
- Affirm preparation of RFx development and preparation, definition of commercial conditions.
- Affirm solicitation of quotations and analysis of contract proposals.
- Affirm identification and acquisition of cost improvements for commodity groups.
- Affirm development of relationships with important suppliers and partners while mediating and resolving contract performance issues.
- Affirm understanding of all operational and commercial elements of suppliers, such as Financial Stability and Objectives, Global/Regional Presence, and Available Capacity.
- Affirm understanding of supplier capacity, capability and manufacturing processes compared to project technical requirements in collaboration with Supplier Performance Organization.
- Affirm compliance with regulatory requirements and Westinghouse's Procurement procedures.
- Affirm contract preparation and purchasing process.
- Affirm management of supply and supplier commitments after making a purchase order or contract, including managing change and contract. Understanding and analysis of the entitlement and cost basis, leading negotiation, drafting agreements on changes and reflecting the change in the System (SAP).
- Affirm support of the Accounts Payables for resolution of discrepancies between the supplier invoices and the purchase orders.
- Affirm support of vendor down selects and vendor scoring.
- Affirm post PO following such as milestone adherence to design complete, fabrication start, Factory Acceptance Testing and release of shipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- No Supply Chain experience required but preferred.
Pay
The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $54,000 to $67,500 per year.
