About the role

As a Project Procurement Specialist, you will assist Project Procurement Managers, working with teams and standard build project procurement implementation plans. You will partner with commodity teams to assist with projects charter, benefits, and resource requirements and monitor active projects, updating status, eliminating roadblocks, and escalating issues. You will report to the Lead Project Procurement Manager, Supply Chain Large Capex Projects and work at our Columbia, SC site. Hybrid Work Schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Aid in the development of procurement strategies and plans together with Offer and Project Teams.
  • Aid in establishing pricing, delivery, terms and conditions to satisfy financial, quality and delivery requirements.
  • Aid in the preparation and coordination of the RFx Process and establish sourcing strategies for suppliers and services.
  • Aid in the preparation of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA).
  • Aid in the RFx development and preparation, definition of commercial conditions.
  • Aid in solicitation of quotations and analysis of contract proposals.
  • Aid in identifying and obtaining cost improvements for commodity groups.
  • Aid in developing relationships with important suppliers and partners while mediating and resolving contract performance issues.
  • Aid in understanding the operational and commercial elements of suppliers, such as Financial Stability and Objectives, Global/Regional Presence, and Available Capacity.
  • Aid in understanding supplier capacity, capability, and manufacturing processes compared to project technical requirements in collaboration with Supplier Performance Organization.
  • Aid in compliance with regulatory requirements and Westinghouse's Procurement procedures.
  • Aid in contract preparation and purchasing process.
  • Help manage supply and supplier commitments after making a purchase order or contract, including managing change and contract. Understand and analyze the entitlement and cost basis, leading negotiation, drafting agreements on changes, and reflecting the change in the System (SAP).
  • Aid in support of Accounts Payables for resolution of discrepancies between the supplier invoices and the purchase orders.
  • Aid in support of vendor down selects and vendor scoring.
  • Aid in post PO following such as milestone adherence to design complete, fabrication start, Factory Acceptance Testing and release of shipment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • No Supply Chain experience required but preferred.

Pay

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $54,000 to $67,500 per year.
