About the role
Dematic is seeking a Project Procurement Manager to lead our LSS Project Execution Procurement Team. This prominent role requires working closely with Procurement Regional Category Leads, Project Management, Engineering, Solutions Development, Finance, A/P, Quality, and others. The goal is to develop, communicate, and implement outstanding strategies for projects that achieve timely completion, reduce risk, support revenue growth, and increase savings.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Regional Program Management project support structure, as well as large customer accounts
- Act as the main Procurement liaison between Project Management and Engineering for project-related activity
- Attend weekly project management meetings to fully understand project scope, Resale content with ‘as-is’ risks, and installation schedules with critical achievements
- Partner with sourcing Category teams to locate qualified sources of Resale equipment for developing the Project sourcing plan
- Prepare Resale project requirements content sheet for Category teams to fill out project sourcing plan
- Communicate supplier lead times to develop equipment ‘drop-dead’ order dates to ensure equipment is ordered with sufficient time to enable timely supplier deliveries to project schedule
- Maintain supplier delivery date schedule
- Attend Gate review meetings and alert team on any resale-related issues
- Conduct supplier gate reviews (based on content/risk) with key/critical suppliers per check-list
- Track negotiated resale savings (net of increases) to determine Procurement savings – this includes comparing “as-sold” Resale content budget compared to resale purchase actuals
Qualifications
- 8-12 years of relevant project-based Procurement experience
- Demonstrated expertise in developing, implementing, and bringing to bear key project management tools and methodologies, including executive scorecards, critical path schedules, risk heat maps, action and issue registers, and performance tracking mechanisms to drive project success
- Proven ability to establish clear expectations, drive ownership, and hold cross-functional teams, collaborators, and business partners accountable for commitments, deliverables, and project outcomes
- Background in process improvement preferred
- Ability to lead multi-stakeholder and multi-region special projects and initiatives
- Operates with minimal business direction
- Strong capabilities in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Preferred experience in SAP and MS Teams
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, engineering, or a related field; Master's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Certified Professional Supply Management (CPSM) preferred and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
Pay
The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $94,125 - $138,050 annually. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
