Job Summary
Morrison Healthcare is seeking a Project Operations Manager to support Food & Nutrition Services at Carolinas Medical Center. This role combines daily operations leadership with project management, safety, compliance, and process improvement responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily foodservice operations across patient dining, retail, production, sanitation, and storage.
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and frontline teams.
- Monitor operational KPIs and identify opportunities to improve service, productivity, and workflow.
- Manage projects involving renovations, equipment upgrades, system launches, and process improvements.
- Develop project plans, timelines, deliverables, risks, and communication strategies.
- Cook up with hospital leadership, facilities, engineering teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Lead the department’s Workplace Safety Program and support incident prevention.
- Maintain regulatory readiness for Joint Commission, CMS, Health Department, and internal audits.
- Manage work orders and oversee departmental cleaning and sanitation programs.
- Use eFinance, MyDining, Webtrition, and Microsoft Office to track costs, projects, and operational performance.
- Provide leadership with updates on project milestones, operational results, and improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Nutrition, Project Management, or a related field.
- Three to five years of leadership experience in foodservice, hospitality, healthcare operations, or a related environment.
- Previous project management experience required; PMP certification preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
