Project Manger 1 - Asset Installation / Small Construction
About the Role
Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of facilities maintenance projects and asset lifecycle initiatives across a portfolio of buildings and infrastructure assets. This role plays a vital part in managing preventive maintenance programs, capital renewal projects, asset condition assessments, and facility improvement initiatives to maximize asset performance, reliability, and service life. You'll work at the intersection of project management, facility operations, and strategic asset management, helping JLL deliver exceptional value to clients while ensuring their built environments operate efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and passionate about facility operations, maintenance planning, capital project management, and asset management best practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and tracking facilities maintenance and capital improvement projects, ensuring project schedules, budgets, and deliverables remain on track while coordinating with contractors, vendors, maintenance teams, and facility stakeholders
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs for building systems and equipment by prioritizing maintenance activities based on asset condition, risk, and operational requirements, and coordinating work orders and service activities
- Assist with asset lifecycle management including asset inventory management, condition assessments, and lifecycle planning for major building systems such as HVAC, roofing, electrical, plumbing, building automation, interior finishes, and site infrastructure
- Monitor project progress and maintain comprehensive project documentation including reports, meeting minutes, and project records while escalating risks, delays, or budget concerns as needed
- Develop reports and dashboards related to asset condition, maintenance performance, project status, capital expenditures, and asset replacement planning while tracking key performance indicators including equipment uptime and maintenance response times
- Assist in preparing project cost estimates, maintenance budgets, and tracking project expenditures while supporting invoice review processes and lifecycle cost analysis
- Support compliance with applicable codes, regulations, organizational policies, and safety requirements while participating in facility inspections and identifying opportunities for operational improvements
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in project management, facilities management, maintenance operations, construction, engineering, or related disciplines
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, Asset Management, or related field
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with diverse stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or co-op experience in facilities management, construction, engineering, or maintenance operations
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS), or asset management software
- Experience with Microsoft Project or similar project scheduling tools
- Basic understanding of building systems, facility operations, and asset lifecycle planning principles
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and capital project management best practices
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (requires flexibility to work during other days depending on the type of project)
