Project Manager - Winston-Salem - Commercial

About the role

Join a well-established general contractor as a Project Manager leading commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout across the Winston-Salem/Triad market. This role offers the opportunity to manage high-profile healthcare, education, office, and public-sector projects while building strong client relationships and driving successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from award through completion, ensuring successful execution of scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Manage project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and owners throughout all phases of construction.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
• Oversee project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and reporting.
• Coordinate preconstruction planning, procurement strategies, and project execution plans.
• Administer projects utilizing CM at Risk, Design-Build, and Select Bid delivery methods.
• Leverage Procore and other construction technologies to maintain project documentation and communication.
• Collaborate closely with field leadership to ensure safety, schedule adherence, and project success.
• Facilitate project meetings and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and clients.
• Support continued growth within the Triad market by delivering exceptional client experiences and repeat business opportunities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction project management experience, ideally within commercial construction.
• Proven track record managing projects from inception through final completion.
• Experience with CM at Risk, Design-Build, and/or Select Bid delivery methods.
• Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills.
• Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software.
• Experience managing projects in the $10M-$30M range.
