About the role
We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative Project Manager (PM) who will leverage relationships to build strategic business partnerships and deliver high-profile projects with key municipal clients in South Florida. You will understand client organizations and processes, develop and maintain consistent relationships at all levels, and ensure Jacobs is the consultant-of-choice. Working with our sales team, you’ll position Jacobs as the client’s best advocate for accomplishing their goals while ensuring we thoroughly understand their needs, challenges, and aspirations.
Responsibilities
- Lead with innovation and expertise, guiding multidisciplinary teams through project lifecycle management to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets.
- Champion excellence and client satisfaction, delivering projects that exceed expectations while adhering to Jacobs’ standards for health, safety, quality, and risk management.
- Ignite growth and opportunity by securing new contracts through compelling proposals, presentations, and negotiations based on deep market understanding and client needs.
- Contribute to the Florida Market Action Plan, delivering leading-edge technology solutions while diversifying and expanding our client base.
- Demonstrate leadership with integrity, candor, and a commitment to inclusion and diversity (our culture, TogetherBeyond℠).
- Lead the development, maintenance, and advancement of client relationships, including strategy, opportunity assessment, Go/No-Go decisions, and win strategy.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects exceeding client expectations while meeting budget and gross margin goals.
- Drive growth by ensuring client satisfaction from relationship development through final project delivery.
- Lead key pursuit activities during all phases, collaborating with sales operations, legal, and project teams.
- Build client relationships through face-to-face meetings and participation in professional events.
- Coordinate internally with sales, operations, and legal teams on client strategy, project delivery, and pursuits.
- Obtain and analyze client feedback to inform strategic actions.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. degree in a related engineering or applicable discipline.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible Project Management experience with Water/Wastewater treatment, Conveyance projects, and municipal consulting.
- Florida-registered Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Strong understanding of project delivery tools, metrics, and a proven history of leading teams to meet client expectations.
- Excellent oral and written communication, self-motivation, and team-oriented work practices.
- Strong data analysis, technical problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining client relationships that generate new and repeat consulting work.
- Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and leading diverse teams.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $123,000.00 to $153,000.00. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Hybrid working policy allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
