Ainley Group is currently seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join our Belleville, Kingston or Ottawa office. As a successful candidate, you will use your management and technical abilities to plan and deliver all aspects of water and wastewater systems in a dynamic design team setting.
Responsibilities
- Lead project teams in the analysis, planning, preliminary and detailed designs and the construction management of:
- Inground reservoirs and elevated storage tanks
- Water and wastewater pumping stations
- New water transmission and distribution mains and renewal of existing mains
- New wastewater mains and renewal of existing sewage collection systems
- Manage project resources, schedule, budget, quality management and project risk assessment on behalf of Ainley and our clients.
- Perform engineering and asset management studies and Class Environmental Assessments related to water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Prepare design reports, coordinate drawing preparation, contract specifications, tender documents, cost estimates and applications for approvals.
- Mentor and coordinate junior staff.
- Liaise with clients, sub-consultants, approval authorities, project stakeholders, and contractors.
- Manage construction contract administration and inspection services.
- Lead the preparation of proposals for future projects.
Requirements
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed in Ontario with a minimum of 10 years of relevant design and management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with engineering teams, clients, project stakeholders and approval authorities.
- Proven motivation to independently manage and deliver projects.
- Experience in planning, preliminary design, detailed design, and construction administration of water/wastewater infrastructure.
- Skilled in gaining approval of infrastructure designs from approval authorities and environmental agencies.
- Proficiency in cost estimating, specification writing, and software tools including Word, Excel, and MS Project.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects effectively.

Pay
$110,000 – $155,000 per year
