About the role
We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Water team in Massachusetts. This role can be based in Hyannis or Burlington.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, design, and construction of water-related projects including wastewater, drinking water, and stormwater systems.
- Conduct planning studies and prepare engineering reports.
- Oversight of design and construction efforts.
- Guide compliance reviews with state and federal regulations.
- Develop innovative solutions for treatment and conveyance challenges.
- Engage with clients and consultants, manage budgets and schedules, and contribute to professional societies.
- Deliver engineering solutions and validate designs to conform to organizational and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to engineering standards and specifications, and evaluate their effectiveness within the engineering discipline.
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams and troubleshoot complex system operations.
- Design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and systems to deliver the end product within specified cost and quality parameters.
- Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches available within established systems.
- Work within established knowledge management systems to deliver preset outcomes for an area of responsibility.
- Carry out inspections to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and specify the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.
- Manage relationships with small clients and help senior colleagues manage relationships with larger key clients and customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other relevant Engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer license in Massachusetts or ability to obtain within 2 years.
- 10+ years of municipal water/wastewater/stormwater experience; previous work in the State of Massachusetts is a plus.
- Experience in water and wastewater planning, design (collection systems, pump stations, wastewater and/or water treatment facilities), and construction.
