About the role
This is an opportunity for a Project Manager with water treatment experience to join an established, employee owned, full service civil engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects. The Project Manager will support water treatment plant design and municipal utility infrastructure projects, working closely with junior engineers and municipal clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Prepare proposals and scopes of work for water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Lead and mentor junior engineers throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification
- Build relationships with state and local municipalities and agencies
- Represent the firm at industry conferences and through active participation in professional associations
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 5 to 15 years of relevant water or wastewater project experience, including water treatment plant design and municipal utility infrastructure
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
Preferred Qualifications
- Business development experience
- Experience presenting at industry conferences
- Established relationships with state and local municipalities and agencies
- Active involvement in professional associations
