About the role

The Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering complex projects from inception through completion. This role ensures projects are executed on time, within scope, and on budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction. The Project Manager will oversee multidisciplinary teams, manage resources, coordinate with stakeholders, and implement best practices to achieve operational and financial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all phases of project delivery, including planning, design, permitting, and construction administration.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans; monitor progress and adjust as needed to meet deadlines and financial targets.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, managing expectations, and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, including engineers, designers, and technicians; promote collaboration and accountability.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies; ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage contracts, subconsultant agreements, and change orders; ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Track project financial performance, including invoicing, cost control, and profitability analysis.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to internal leadership and clients.
  • Assist with proposal preparation, fee estimates, and client presentations to secure new work.
  • May remain in stationary position for extended periods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Business or related field from an accredited school.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in project management within the AEC industry.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate a motor vehicle is required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Revit/CAD, Bluebeam Revu.
  • Microsoft Suite Products (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc).
  • Experience with cloud-based design tools such as BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Schedule

  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment with standard office equipment.
  • Must be able to work onsite at a WSB office, as needed, up to five days per week, as required by the project, client, or hiring manager.
  • Travel or field visits may be required to support project needs or stakeholder collaboration.
