Project Manager - Wastewater
About the role
We’re seeking a Project Manager to work with our Wastewater Clients from our Milwaukee, WI or Madison, WI office. You’ll grow your career by leading project teams to provide innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients. You’ll play an integral role in leading and mentoring staff, forming long-term relationships with clients, and pursuing new work, including strategy development, positioning, proposing, and negotiating contracts. You’ll be part of diverse multi-discipline teams, allowing you to both share your expertise and learn from others.

Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary project teams for municipal wastewater treatment projects (planning, design, and construction).
- Develop and maintain client relationships to win new work.
- Mentor and guide younger staff to develop their project management skills.
- Provide leadership and technical expertise on iconic wastewater projects, focusing on resource recovery, capital planning, carbon neutrality, and climate resilience.
- Perform as the discipline lead for process mechanical design on an as-needed basis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in civil, environmental, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
- Extensive project management experience for municipal wastewater treatment projects (planning, design, and construction).
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Understanding of municipal wastewater treatment processes and technologies.
- Multi-discipline design management experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach, demonstrated through professional society involvements or related activities.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in the state of Illinois or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- More than 15 years of project management experience for municipal wastewater treatment projects (planning, design, and construction).
- Master’s Degree in civil, environmental, chemical, or mechanical engineering.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $120,000.00 to $170,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Hybrid working policy allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
