Responsibilities
- Managing scope, schedule, and budget for utility infrastructure projects
- Managing a multi-disciplinary team (electrical, structural, geotechnical, civil, etc.) on substation design
- Building strong client relationships and being the main point of contact to a variety of utility clients
- Attending in-person, field and on-line meetings with clients to provide administrative support and engineering guidance to resolve utility interferences.
- Leading a team to perform record research, including utility plates, NYCTA Subway records, etc.
- Reviewing and assisting with development of private utility alignments to avoid utility interferences.
- Studies, overseeing the development of technical drawings, preparation of estimates of quantities and writing specifications.
- Coinciding field work for data gathering, test pit inspection, surveys and construction observations
- Overseeing the preparation of support drawings, conduit plans, overlay of private utility facilities on NYC Construction Plans
- Working effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders
- Responsible for quality control of tasks
- Assisting with proposals and business development
Qualifications
- A Baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college a must.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience infrastructure engineering design in NYC.
- Experience working for clients such as private utility companies or NYC Agencies.
- Knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD especially).
- Knowledge of Civil3D, (a plus).
- Knowledge of Microstation, (a plus).
- Detailed oriented, excellent writing skills.

- Compensation: $85,000.00 - $135,000.00 Base pay offered for this New York based role may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate.
