Project Manager & Trainer - Addiction Medicine GS9034

About the role

The Project Manager will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for a multi-campus, grant-funded initiative designed to improve the identification of risky opioid and substance use and opioid/substance use disorders (OUD/SUD) among college and university students.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training and support to key stakeholders, including campus health, counseling, student affairs, and other frontline staff.
  • Ensure fidelity to evidence-based practices and coordinate cross-campus partnerships.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement to expand access to timely, appropriate substance use care for students.
  • Initiate, plan, execute, and report on grant activities.
  • Organize activities, coordinate services, and establish communication between staff, departments, and sites.
  • Support overall program evaluation, including data collection, report writing, and submissions to meet reporting requirements.
  • Work with the sponsor, sites, program team, and leadership to conduct formative and summative assessments of the program and its function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in mental health, health care, and/or academia.
  • Master’s degree in mental health related degree preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and business office/staff management.
  • Skills in the use of computer applications in MS Windows environment.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and facts accurately.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports in a timely manner.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills.

Skills, Proficiencies, And/or Knowledge

  • Knowledge of federal grants and working with grant budgets.
  • Basic understanding of substance use disorders and SBIRT practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Pay

Commensurate with education and experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional evenings and weekends.
