About the role

Forge Ahead with WSB. Are you a Water Resources Engineer who lives and breathes hydrology and hydraulics? WSB is looking for a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, or Water Resources Manager to join our growing H&H team in Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

  • You're already an experienced PE with a proven track record in water resources, now it's about the next chapter.
  • Whether you're a Project Manager ready to deepen your client portfolio, a Senior PM looking to lead a regional practice, or an engineering Manager who wants to shape both the technical direction and the people around you, this role has room for your ambition.
  • You'll work at the intersection of H&H expertise and client leadership on watershed modeling, FEMA floodplain studies, stormwater master plans, and drainage design across Oklahoma and beyond.
  • Lead clients and project teams in defining objectives, scopes, budgets, deliverables, and schedules for water resources and stormwater projects.
  • Own client communication and project documentation from kickoff through closeout.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee project activities to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Anticipate project challenges and guide your team toward smart, creative solutions.
  • Uphold WSB's quality standards on every deliverable.
  • Mentor, develop, and evaluate staff.
  • Analyze project profitability, billing rates, and monthly invoices.
  • Drive business development and cultivate lasting client relationships in floodplain management, stormwater planning, and municipal drainage.
  • Travel to client sites for field verification, proposal presentations, submittal reviews, and project meetings.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in water resources, stormwater management, and H&H engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of project management experience.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Biosystems, or Environmental Engineering.
  • Active PE license required or obtained within 6 months.
  • Proficiency in hydrologic modeling (HEC-HMS).
  • Proficiency in hydraulic modeling, both 1D and 2D (HEC-RAS).
  • Experience with ESRI GIS products.
  • Familiarity with FEMA LOMC submittal processes (LOMRs, CLOMRs, MT-2).

Preferred / What Sets You Apart

  • Demonstrated track record of managing projects.
  • Experience growing, mentoring, and retaining technical staff.
  • Active involvement or appetite for business development.
  • Oklahoma-specific project experience.
  • Experience with FEMA Risk MAP or serving as a Cooperating Technical Partner (CTP) contractor.
