Project Manager – Site Separation & Technology Cutover

About the role

The Project Manager - Site Separation & Technology Cutover is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of technology separation activities for two Connecticut sites as part of the transition from Solventum to the client technology ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of the Charlotte site technology separation program.
  • Develop and maintain the overall project strategy, governance framework, execution roadmap, and implementation approach.
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives, technology workstreams, and enterprise program milestones.
  • Drive execution across multiple concurrent technical and business workstreams.
  • Site Separation Planning:
    • Lead planning activities covering: Enterprise applications, Infrastructure services, Technology platforms, Network readiness, End-user computing, Identity & access management, Site operational processes, Technology service transitions, Business continuity activities.
    • Cook up readiness across all participating organizations.
  • Technology Cutover Management:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive cutover plans including: Detailed activity sequencing, Technical dependencies, Business readiness checkpoints, Resource planning, Ownership assignments, Cutover timelines, Go/No-Go criteria, Rollback planning, Business validation, Hypercare planning, Stabilization activities.
    • Coordinate all cutover execution activities across technical and business teams.
  • ERP Dependency Management:
    • Partner closely with ERP implementation teams to: Track ERP milestones, Understand implementation dependencies, Coordinate ERP readiness activities, Assess impacts to overall separation timeline, Identify integration risks, Ensure ERP deliverables are incorporated into the master cutover plan.
  • Integrated Project Planning:
    • Create and maintain detailed integrated project plans including: Milestones, Deliverables, Resource plans, Critical path analysis, Cross-functional dependencies, RAID logs, Readiness checkpoints, Executive reporting, Action tracking.
    • Ensure project schedules remain current throughout execution.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination:
    • Collaborate closely with: Enterprise Applications, Infrastructure Operations, Infrastructure Engineering, Network Services, End User Services, Security teams, ERP Program teams, Manufacturing Operations, Site Leadership, Business Process Owners, PMO, Enterprise Architecture, Vendors and implementation partners.
    • Drive accountability across organizations without direct reporting authority.
  • Risk & Issue Management:
    • Proactively identify and manage: Technical risks, Business risks, Infrastructure dependencies, Resource constraints, Schedule conflicts, Application readiness, Business readiness, Site readiness.
    • Facilitate timely escalation and resolution of critical issues.
  • Governance & Executive Reporting:
    • Facilitate: Project governance meetings, Steering Committee meetings, Readiness reviews, Cutover planning sessions, Daily execution meetings, Go/No-Go meetings, Executive status updates.
    • Prepare executive-level dashboards and status reports highlighting: Project health, Risks, Issues, Milestones, Budget status (if applicable), Dependency status, Cutover readiness.
  • Change Management & Business Readiness Support:
    • Organize readiness by: Coordinating communication plans, Supporting business engagement, Managing stakeholder expectations, Ensuring user readiness, Facilitating training coordination, Supporting transition planning, Coordinating post-cutover support, Hypercare & Transition, Coordinate: Cutover execution, Hypercare activities, Issue triage, Stabilization planning, Knowledge transfer, Operational handoff, Transition to steady-state support.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
    • 10+ years of project management experience delivering complex enterprise technology initiatives.
    • 7+ years of proven experience managing: Site transition projects, Technology transformation programs, Infrastructure migration initiatives, Enterprise application implementations, Large-scale IT deployment projects.
    • 5+ years of strong experience coordinating multiple cross-functional technical and business teams.
    • 8+ years of demonstrated expertise in: Project planning, Dependency management, RAID management, Executive reporting, Governance, Stakeholder management.
    • 5+ years of strong understanding of: Technology cutovers, Infrastructure transitions, Application migrations, Site readiness planning, Operational support models.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple organizations without direct authority.
    • Experience working in fast-paced enterprise transformation programs.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience leading M&A integration, divestiture, site separation, or technology carve-out initiatives.
    • Experience managing technology transitions involving ERP implementations (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) as key program dependencies.
    • Experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, Medical Devices, Manufacturing, or other regulated industries.
    • Familiarity with: Infrastructure Operations, Network Readiness, End User Services, Identity & Access Management, Application Support, Service Management, Business Continuity Planning.
    • Knowledge of ITIL service management practices.
    • Experience using Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Planview, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar project management tools.
    • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
