Project Manager / Senior Project Manager
About the role
CAGE is hiring a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join our Chandler office and become a core part of our growing Arizona land development practice. This is a seat for someone who is serious about their craft. What You'll Do
- Own Your Projects
- Manage civil engineering and land development projects across residential, commercial, mixed-use, industrial, and public sector markets
- Lead projects from entitlement and preliminary design through permitting and construction
- Own project scope, schedule, budget, and profitability
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants to deliver on time and on budget
- Proactively identify risks and bring solutions, not just problems
- Serve Clients Well
- Be the primary day-to-day contact for project clients including developers, architects, contractors, and municipalities
- Communicate proactively and build trust through consistent follow-through
- Begin developing your own client relationships and participating in business development activities
- Represent CAGE professionally within the Phoenix metro development community
- Lead a Team
- Mentor junior engineers and designers
- Lead proposal preparation and project pursuits
- Collaborate with office leadership on workload planning and resource allocation
- Help shape the culture of a growing office
What We're Looking For
- Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 7+ years of civil engineering and land development with proven experience as a Project Manager
- Strong technical background in site development, grading, drainage, utility design, and permitting
- Experience managing project budgets and schedules with financial accountability
- Familiarity with Phoenix metro municipalities, permitting processes, and development standards is a strong plus
- Preferred:
- 10+ years of experience for Senior PM consideration
- Existing relationships within the Phoenix metropolitan development community
- Experience with private land development clients including residential builders, master plan developers, or commercial developers
- Interest in growing into client leadership and business development responsibilities over time
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary: $90,000 to $160,000+ depending on role and experience
