Project Manager Senior Evaluator

About the role

Leads, coordinates, and implements a broad range of evaluation projects across the Community Health and Education team. These projects support the implementation of CHHS strategic plans, annual goals, and objectives. The projects and initiatives are diverse in nature, requiring adaptability based on project needs. This position provides project support to multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating mature judgment in managing them and expertise in best practices and innovative approaches to evaluating prevention-based community programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates assigned evaluation projects, including identification of project teams, participation in and/or leadership of project teams, and documentation of project progress.
• Establishes and evaluates standards and annual evaluation initiatives in alignment with strategic goals and objectives, revising initiatives as needed to meet changing requirements.
• Coordinates and conducts data gathering with community members and program participants using culturally responsive evaluation practices, in person or virtually.
• Researches best practices and innovative approaches to evaluation efforts related to prevention-based community programs.
• Regularly assesses programs and services throughout the department to ensure appropriate levels of evaluation efforts are implemented.
• Serves as a consultative resource for the department from development to program implementation phases, ensuring adherence to evaluation best practices and integration into the overall department evaluation plan.
• Provides recommendations and evaluates progress for continued improvement.
• Establishes, tracks, and monitors regularly scheduled department-wide reports such as the balanced scorecard.
• Maintains current relationships as a liaison between the Community Health department and key community partners and stakeholders.
• Establishes and maintains evaluation partnerships with academic institutions.
• Supports fund development opportunities by assisting with grant development, writing, and presentations as requested.
• Actively participates in developing communication tools, including briefings, papers, PowerPoint, and poster presentations to disseminate results and findings.
• Effectively communicates relevant project information to program leaders and resolves or escalates issues with recommendations in a timely fashion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in research, evaluation, education, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in program evaluation and research, specifically with diverse and underrepresented populations.
• Demonstrated experience in planning, consulting, or project management.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in, or capacity to manage, cross-functional work teams with no direct reporting relationship.
