About the Role
Join the Mining Team, based out of any of our US offices. You will prepare proposals for projects involving geotechnical services, including cost estimates and timelines. You will oversee the development of design concepts by Designers and ensure proper application and execution. You will verify Designer’s work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings.
Responsibilities
- Prepare proposals for projects involving geotechnical services, including cost estimates and timelines.
- Oversee the development of design concepts by Designers and ensure proper application and execution.
- Verify Designer’s work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings.
- Apply EXP’s risk management practices of electrical engineering.
- Execute complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination.
- Perform front-end loading of Electrical systems for projects.
- Contribute to revisions of EXP’s design standards and master specifications.
- Evaluate Value Engineering (cost cutting) items with respect to our level of risk.
- Edit and develop the basis of design narratives documenting the project scope.
- Develop electrical one-lines, load lists, area classifications, etc.
- Participate in HAZOP, PHA, safety reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited University.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) Required.
- 10+ years of experience in the mining or industrial industry.
- Business development experience required.
Qualifications
A solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of discipline engineering. Encourages collaboration to seek the best solutions. Manages work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours. Executes complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination. Participates in HAZOP, PHA, safety reviews.
Skills
Strong technical skills in electrical engineering, including PLC, Power, Automation, and instrumentation mining experience. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Benefits
Competitive salary range of $110,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location. Compensation may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. Comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, vacation time, and 401(k) retirement benefits.
