About the Role
Join the Mining Team, based out of any of our US offices. You will prepare proposals for projects involving geotechnical services, including cost estimates and timelines; oversee the development of design concepts by Designers; verify Designer’s work quality; apply EXP’s risk management practices; manage work plans and deliverables; develop electrical one-lines, load lists, area classifications, etc.; and participate in HAZOP, PHA, safety reviews.
Responsibilities
- Prepare proposals for projects involving geotechnical services, including cost estimates and timelines
- Oversee the development of design concepts by Designers
- Verify Designer’s work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings
- Apply EXP’s risk management practices of electrical engineering
- Execute complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination
- Perform front-end loading of Electrical systems for projects
- Evaluate Value Engineering (cost cutting) items with respect to our level of risk
- Develop electrical one-lines, load lists, area classifications, etc.
- Contribute to revisions of EXP’s design standards and master specifications
- Participate in HAZOP, PHA, safety reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited University
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) Required
- 10+ years of experience in the mining or industrial industry
- Business development experience required
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts
- Ability to collaborate to seek the best solutions
- Experience managing work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours
- Experience executing complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination
- Experience developing electrical one-lines, load lists, area classifications, etc.
- Experience participating in HAZOP, PHA, safety reviews
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

- Competitive salary range: $110,000 to $150,000
