Job Description

The Project Manager is a central point person for the assigned project. Once the pre-construction team hands the project off to the Project Manager, the Project Manager is lead in all aspects regarding the project such as (and not limited to), contract management, communication, reporting, schedule maintenance, budget maintenance, change management, risk management, document control, meetings, meeting minutes, lessons learned tracking, and project closeout.

Assists in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of projects.

Assists in determining the technical skills and staff hours required for successful completion of the project.

Obtains, analyzes, and circulates technical and contractual information to other members of the project team.

Prepares reports and documentation of activity for the client and project management.

Prepares notices and change order documentation for the client and project management.

Determines and manages schedules and budgets for assigned project proposal and close outs, monitors progress and manages material logistics.

Interfaces with procurement and subcontract personnel to facilitate seamless coordination between the office and field.

Supports the relationship with the customer at a professional and technical level - including supporting questions, evaluation requirements and system design.

Sets goals for field management, subcontractors and vendors. Motivates and manages to keep on task.

Manages performance, productivity and work quality of all field management, subcontractors and vendors to complete projects on time.

Manages and coordinates the delivery of material and equipment to optimize job efficiency, ensure production is not impacted or additional cost incurred.

Implements and enforces all company and contractual policies, safety standards and installation best practices.

Attends site walks and pre-construction planning meetings.

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements

  • Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree or equivalent experience
  • Field construction management experience (5-8 years, including supervisory skills)
  • Leadership ability
  • Problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Drafting and computer skills
  • Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting
  • Thorough understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating)

Pay

Pay Rate Type: Salary

Compensation Range: $110,448.00 - $138,060.00
