Project Manager/Scrum Master Senior

SAIC is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Project Manager/SCRUM Master to join our team in Ashburn, VA. This is a hybrid role requiring on-site visits 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting for multiple software development projects using Java and cloud technologies.
• Coordinate project delivery and manage dependencies with other project teams within the organization.
• Lead and manage a team of people in a hybrid work environment.
• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, sprint reviews, and backlog refinement sessions.
• Apply working knowledge of SELC and associated documentation (project plans, charters, business cases, requirements documents, test plans, status reports, etc.).
• Deliver software applications using Agile methodology (Scrum).
• Collaborate with business and solution resources to define, analyze, and document requirements/user stories.
• Work with senior executives and clients to gather requirements and translate them into technical documentation for development teams using Java technologies.
• Apply understanding of SQL databases (Oracle, Postgres) and prior experience implementing business processes and database concepts.
• Contribute to project scoping, including requirement assessment, best practices, application design and development, methodologies, and budget recommendations.

Requirements

• At least 8+ years of experience leading cross-functional delivery teams (UI/full-stack developers, systems integrators/engineers, database engineers, business analysts, automation/functional testing specialists) in an Agile environment.
• Proven track record of managing multiple complex projects and facilitating high-performing Agile teams.
• Working knowledge of Microservice architecture, Cloud services, Java-based web applications using frameworks such as SpringBoot, Angular, or React, and SQL databases.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly, work in a fast-paced environment both individually and as part of a team.
• Commitment to learning, creative thinking, and facilitating collaboration across teams.
• Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and Atlassian tools.
• Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position (CBP Background Investigation).
• Must be a US Citizen and within the GWA/commutable area.

Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (plus).
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification (plus).
• Prior experience as a developer or data analyst (plus).
• Experience managing projects in a hybrid cloud environment (plus).

Pay

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000, based on experience.
