Project Manager - Restoration
Brief Description
The Restoration Project Manager oversees restoration projects, including temporary labor, equipment, and quality control. They also interact with clients and property owners during the restoration process.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Field Management:
- Responds to large losses with the first responder team.
- Recruits temporary labor sources; manages personnel needs.
- Oversight of all commercial and residential large losses through restoration.
- Ensures all demolition is clean, complete, and ready for rebuild.
- Conducts safety toolbox talks and complies with BluSky safety policies.
- Manages sign-in sheets for Time and Material projects.
- Adheres to OSHA and environmental regulations.
- Ensures project work meets industry standards.
- Directly supervises BluSky and temporary labor personnel.
- Provides high-level customer service.
- Office/Shop Management:
- Reviews and monitors project paperwork.
- Affirms or rejects invoices with proper communication.
- Develops and updates project schedules.
- Maintains timecard inputting and employee hours.
- Holds monthly Game Plan meetings with direct reports.
- Ensures IICRC training is provided and up-to-date.
- Holds team meetings, including weekly training and equipment checks.
- Manages and maintains equipment inventory lists.
- Ensures vehicles are ready and stocked per BluSky specifications.
- Directs, mentors, and trains technician personnel.
- Represents on BluSky's emergency mitigation on-call management rotation.
- Profitability Management:
- Meets or exceeds billing, revenue, and profit margin goals.
- Uses temporary labor resources to avoid overtime.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 3+ years of residential and commercial restoration experience preferred.
- 3+ years of project management experience preferred.
- IICRC certifications in water and smoke restoration required.
- Ability to travel nationally for emergency and non-emergency losses.
- Effective communication skills with clients and internal/external contacts.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
The work environment can range from quiet to moderately loud. The employee must regularly lift and/or move between 25-50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle material, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
