Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing the execution of rebar projects from the set-up phase through completion.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities
- Provide total contract management of each project assigned, including coordination of the detailing, scheduling, delivery and costs of products and services.
- Oversee the customer and project team in establishing the sequential steps involved in all processes with the scope of the project and adapt schedules and work tasks accordingly.
- Communicate with customers regarding project details involving detailing, fabrication and delivery issues.
- Review rebar shop drawings and direct the revision of drawings as needed.
- Schedule the detailing and delivery of required products and services with the contractor, detailers, and production team.
- Answer customer questions related to assigned projects and resolve any problems that may occur.
- Perform special projects and complete all other duties as assigned or requested for the support of the organization.

- Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations.
- Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems.
- Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective end results.
- Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to the expected results.
- Determines and develops an approach to solutions.
- Receives technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.
- May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc.
- Contributes to employees' professional development but does not have hiring or firing authority.
Education And Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 5-8 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
- Certification is required in some areas.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineer, Construction Management, related degree and/or equivalent work experience.
- 3 + years of project management experience including 1 + year of construction project management experience.
- Microsoft 365 - specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to read & understand structural & architectural drawings - nice to have.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
- Typically located in a comfortable indoor area.
- There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors, such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.
- Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about.
- Occasionally there may be a requirement to stoop or lift light material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds).
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
