Responsible for overall operation of a project/contract from proposal, planning, coordination, and execution to project completion, including the safety and well-being of employees, safeguarding company funds and property, and representing the company with respect to the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and provide project leadership in your area of responsibility under the supervision of the Target Operations Manager.
  • Identify potential project problems or opportunities, analyze issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives, and determine the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities.
  • Ensure development and adherence to the project Work Breakdown Structure, Asset Management, and Workflow Management elements.
  • Expand the Project Execution Plan for subsequent phases, including project initiation, planning, coordination, execution, and completion.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for the project and ensure open and collaborative communication between all stakeholders.
  • Establish, track, and report status against key performance indicators or contractual metrics on a routine basis.
  • Participate in the establishment of project organizational structure in support of proposal efforts.
  • Demonstrate command of schedule goals, key milestones, and the approach to the work embodied in the schedule.
  • Ensure a firm scope-based schedule baseline is established and properly resourced.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of schedule tools, procedures, and work processes.
  • Review, report, and manage key performance measures defined within the contract.
  • Implement corrective measures when measures are outside service levels or bandwidths.
  • Consistently meet or improve upon established schedule goals in your area of responsibility.
  • Manage performance and progress against the plan and ensure accurate forecasts with commensurate action plans.
  • Establish annual operating budgets in cooperation with the customer, business manager, or group financial department.
  • Provide accurate monthly forecasts of cost, schedule, and resource utilization.
  • Support Business Development (BD) and Group management in contract negotiations with customers.
  • Support or conduct formal presentations to clients and/or management.
  • Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5 years’ relevant experience in operations, maintenance, construction, civil engineering, and/or MEC-related activities.
  • Good oral and written communication skills; proficient in word-processing and integrated software applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work.
  • Ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Position may require travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, construction management, or project management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • MEC experience, including working on operational and test ranges performing range clearance operations.

Work Environment

  • Typical office environment with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Constant sitting while using a computer terminal, and constant use of sight and speech/hearing abilities for communication.
  • Constant mental alertness, planning/organizing skills, and ability to work under deadlines.
  • Additional work may involve areas with explosive hazards.
  • Outdoor environments with uneven terrain, variable conditions (heat, cold, moisture, dust, noise), and confined areas.
  • Frequent walking, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and working in tiring or uncomfortable positions.

Pay

$85,000 - $105,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
