Project Manager-Rail & Transit Facilities
About the role
The successful candidate will lead project planning, staffing, budgeting, and execution across single- and multi-discipline teams. They will manage schedules, resources, and deliverables to ensure timely, on-budget performance. They will coordinate with internal departments, clients, and government agencies, review technical designs, and ensure compliance with client standards. They will prepare reports, cost analyses, and project documentation, drive client engagement, and leverage project success for future opportunities. They will support safety initiatives and maintain required certifications, and mentor staff in rail station & transit facilities design.
Responsibilities
- Leading project planning, staffing, budgeting, and execution across single- and multi-discipline teams.
- Managing schedules, resources, and deliverables to ensure timely, on-budget performance.
- Cross-departmental coordination with internal departments, clients, and government agencies.
- Reviewing technical designs and ensuring compliance with client standards.
- Preparing reports, cost analyses, and project documentation.
- Driving client engagement and leveraging project success for future opportunities.
- Supporting safety initiatives and maintaining required certifications.
- Mentoring staff in rail station & transit facilities design.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- Preferred Licensure: PE or Registered Architect.
- 10+ years of experience in transit facilities design, rehabilitation, and/or construction, with a specialization in railroad station projects.
- Experience with CTDOT and/or local transit agencies.
- Proficiency in rail facilities structure design, specifications review, and construction phase services.
- Strong management and client relationship-building skills.

Pay
The approximate compensation range for this position is $215,000 - $270,000 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
Schedule
This position is based out of Rocky Hill, CT (Hartford area).
