About the role
GE Vernova Power Conversion & Storage is a purpose-built energy company dedicated to electrifying and decarbonizing the world. Our Power Conversion & Storage business focuses on advanced power electronics, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and solar solutions that enhance energy efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of utility-scale solar and BESS projects, managing projects valued from $10M to $200M
- Assist in managing customer relationships, ensuring effective communication, proactive issue resolution, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Contribute to contract management tasks including reporting, tracking receivables, monitoring change orders, and supporting claim resolution
- Track and report on key project metrics such as safety, quality, schedule, cost, and cash flow under the guidance of senior project managers
- Cross-functionally coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, supply chain, finance, and field services, to support product delivery and commissioning
- Maintain project documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of records, action logs, risk registers, and status reports
- Participate in customer and internal meetings to develop communication and stakeholder management skills
- Support a culture of safety and continuous improvement across all project activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field
- 3–5 years of project management, engineering, or related professional experience (internship or co-op experience counts!)
- Fluent English communication skills — written and verbal
- Ability to travel up to 20%
Preferred qualifications
- Academic or professional exposure to solar, BESS, or broader energy/power systems
- Internship or project experience in construction, engineering, or energy sectors
- Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar
- Knowledge of Lean or continuous improvement principles
- PMP certification or active pursuit of PMP credentials
