As a Renewables Project Manager, you'll manage the design and delivery of projects in a profitable manner, overseeing the technical aspects of various projects, supervising the work of engineers and technical support personnel, developing project work plans and budget projections, and effectively deploying resources.
Responsibilities
- Manage the design and delivery of projects in a profitable manner
- Oversee the technical aspects of various projects
- Supervise the work of engineers and/or technical support personnel assigned to the project
- Develop project work plans and budget projections and effectively deploy resources
- Review, interpret and act upon business metrics including utilization, backlog, work in process and account receivables
- Prepare, maintain and coordinate schedules of multiple concurrent projects
- Develop and track milestones to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
- Complete monthly project accounting and invoicing
- Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures
- Participate in contract bidding, provide limited observation during construction, review submittals and RFIs
- Resolve design conflicts and field construction issues
- Represent clients and firm in meetings with governmental agencies
- Write proposals and participate and/or lead interviews
- Grow, mentor and train staff
- Build relationships internally and externally with clients and strategic partners
- Lead business development activities
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions
- Ensure division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service
- Lead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism
Requirements
- Experience in the renewable energy industry
- Experience managing complex and/or multi-service projects
- Experience with program management
- Advanced knowledge of project financial management
- Experience with contract negotiation and management
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 3-5 years of project management experience
- Professional licensure in a technical field or ability to obtain PMP certification
- Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results
Benefits
Westwood offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $130,000, along with comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
