Project Manager, Pharmacy Automation

The Project Manager has primary responsibility for managing the scope, schedule, and budget of all assigned projects while demonstrating a working knowledge of Pharmacy Automation products and project management techniques. The role involves collaborating with customers to understand their goals and applying expertise to guide successful implementations of Swisslog’s solutions.

About the Role

The Pharmacy Automation Project Management team oversees all aspects of successful implementations for Swisslog Healthcare’s North American customers, including Training/Implementation, Project Management, Hardware Installation, and Software System Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent customer projects (6–15 open projects, totaling ~$10M in job cost).
• Lead project kickoff meetings, site surveys, supply chain coordination, and meeting minutes.
• Coordinate master schedules, customer communications, and cost management.
• Process change orders, conduct post-mortems, and document customer acceptance.
• Oversee project plan events and manage schedules.
• Coordinate project team activities and procure hardware/software.
• Conduct and participate in project meetings to assess progress.
• Serve as the primary contact for implementation issues, documenting resolutions and escalating as needed.
• Support go-live activities and manage project budgets, revenue projections, risks, and scope.
• Prepare and complete the customer acceptance process.
• Perform other duties to support best-in-business customer service.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4+ years of project management experience, including project budgeting and ERP software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and MS Project.
• Experience with pharmacy and/or medication management technology projects.
• IT/medical project management experience.
• Process- and detail-oriented professional.
• Passion for exceptional customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with customers in a vendor organization.
• PMP or other project management certification.

Pay

Salary range: $82,600 – $92,500 (commensurate with experience and skillset).
