Project Manager (NY)

This position is located in our client's office in Rochester, NY, within LaBella's Program Management Services Division. The division provides comprehensive management services for complex projects and multi-year capital programs, offering a customized mix of business consulting, project management, financial control, administrative, and technical support services.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership in a matrix organization.
• Initiate, plan, execute, and close projects, including defining the project WBS, Cost Baseline, and OBS structure; building comprehensive work plans; and managing risks, scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manage teams by facilitating commitment and productivity, removing obstacles, and ensuring team performance.
• Implement and manage quality and environmental processes and procedures on all projects, focusing on meeting SPI and CPI performance indicators less than 1.0.
• Oversee third-party projects, including other transmission owners and interconnecting customers.
• Accountable for cost/budgeting, communication, change, schedule, construction, commissioning, and risk management.
• Manage regulatory and stakeholder relationships.
• Serve as the main point of contact between contractors and the client on all project matters.
• Monitor and measure project performance, resolving any contract disputes relative to costs, scope, and schedule.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in large-scale projects.
• Program management experience in the utility business.
• Bachelor’s degree (required).
• Professional Engineer License and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (subject to client approval).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Substation functional area.

Pay

Salary range: $65,000 – $118,000. The specific salary offered may be influenced by factors such as the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location.
