This position is located in our client's office in Rochester, NY, within LaBella's Program Management Services Division. The division provides comprehensive management services for complex projects and multi-year capital programs, offering a customized mix of business consulting, project management, financial control, administrative, and technical support services.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective leadership in a matrix organization.
- Initiate, plan, execute, and close projects, including defining the project WBS, Cost Baseline, and OBS structure; building comprehensive work plans; and managing risks, scope, schedule, and budget.
- Manage teams by facilitating commitment and productivity, removing obstacles, and ensuring team performance.
- Implement and manage quality and environmental processes and procedures on all projects, focusing on meeting SPI and CPI performance indicators less than 1.0.
- Oversee third-party projects, including other transmission owners and interconnecting customers.
- Accountable for cost/budgeting, communication, change, schedule, construction, commissioning, and risk management.
- Manage regulatory and stakeholder relationships.
- Serve as the main point of contact between contractors and the client on all project matters.
- Monitor and measure project performance, resolving any contract disputes relative to costs, scope, and schedule.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in large-scale projects.
- Program management experience in the utility business.
- Bachelor’s degree (required).
- Professional Engineer License and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (subject to client approval).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Substation functional area.

Pay
Salary range: $65,000 – $118,000. The specific salary offered may be influenced by factors such as the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location.
