About the Role
The Project Manager - Medicaid Program Integrity will coordinate all efforts across the Aging and Disability Services Administration (ADSA) as it relates to Medicaid Program Integrity. This includes but is not limited to:
- State plan benefits under Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI)
- Personal Care Assistance (PCA)/Community First Services and Supports (CFSS)
- Home and Community-Based service (HCBS) waiver services
The Project Manager is responsible for providing strategic oversight, operationalizing, and coordinating the work across ADSA and DHS related to strengthening program integrity in Medicaid. The position coordinates, tracks, and ensures that all ADSA-assigned requirements from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) through the Corrective Action Plan, focused reviews or audits, and other related activities are completed on-time and in-scope. The position will guide and manage the portfolio, track work progress, elevate issues, resolve problems, identify gaps and risks, and collaborate across the Department to ensure effective implementation.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight and operational coordination for Medicaid Program Integrity efforts within ADSA.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of CMS requirements, including Corrective Action Plans, focused reviews, and audits.
- Track work progress, identify gaps and risks, and resolve issues collaboratively across the Department.
- Develop and implement program integrity standards, fraud prevention measures, and audit processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen Medicaid program rules, functional eligibility, and person-centered support planning.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year of professional experience in project planning and operations, or
- 3 years of advanced technical or paraprofessional experience, or
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Public Policy, Public Administration, or related field and 2 years of advanced technical or paraprofessional experience, or
- Master’s degree in Human Services, Public Policy, Public Administration, or related field.
Experience must demonstrate:
- Familiarity with Medicaid program rules, functional eligibility, person-centered support planning, and medical necessity concepts.
- Program development and planning experience.
- Awareness of audit processes, fraud prevention, and program integrity standards in Medicaid.
- Familiarity with healthcare coding and billing basics relevant to behavioral health services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of HIPAA, state data practices, and confidentiality requirements for handling sensitive health information.
- Understanding of aging and disability services in scope for CMS corrective action plans, focused reviews, and other CMS-related activities.
- Effective written communication to document findings clearly and professionally.
- Proficient computer skills for data entry and electronic documentation systems.
- Experience working effectively with diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Pay
$26.43 - $38.55 / hourly; $55,185 - $80,492 / annually
Schedule
Day Shift / 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
