Project Manager - Luxury Custom Residential Construction

Responsibilities

  • Manage luxury custom residential construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, vendors, materials, RFIs, change orders, and documentation
  • Cook up project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, vendors, materials, RFIs, change orders, and documentation

  • Coordinate with ownership, field teams, architects, designers, consultants, and clients to keep projects moving forward
  • Review plans, specifications, revisions, and project requirements for accuracy, constructability, and scope alignment
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and project stakeholders throughout each phase of construction
  • Proactively identify project risks, resolve issues, and support timely decision-making
  • Ensure projects are completed according to schedule, budget, quality standards, and client expectations
  • Support field teams with timely information, coordination, and problem-solving throughout construction
  • Maintain accurate project records, schedules, meeting notes, and communication updates
  • Represent the company professionally when working with high-end residential clients and project

Requirements

  • Experience managing luxury custom residential construction projects
  • A strong understanding of high-end residential construction, custom finishes, client expectations, and project sequencing
  • Experience managing projects in the $5M-$25M range preferred
  • Ability to manage long-duration projects, typically lasting 16-30 months
  • Strong client communication skills and ability to work with homeowners, architects, designers, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents
  • Strong organization, follow-through, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • A stable work history and long-term career mindset
  • Must be able to work primarily in the Santa Rosa area
  • Local candidates within approximately 45 minutes of Santa Rosa are strongly preferred
  • Not ideal for candidates seeking fully remote work
  • Not ideal for candidates with only commercial construction experience

Pay

Competitive base salary of approximately $120,000-$170,000, depending on experience

Schedule

Hybrid flexibility with approximately 4 days in office/field and 1 day remote
