Project Manager – Level 1 – Electric Utility Projects

About the role

Immediate need for a Contract Project Manager – Level 1 to oversee electric utility projects in Hartford, CT. Position is onsite and local candidates are preferred. Rate up to $58/hour.

What You’ll Do

• Manage electric utility projects from planning and engineering through construction and closeout
• Lead projects involving overhead lines, substations, and underground utility infrastructure
• Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and execution plans
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, including outage scheduling with utility operations
• Manage contractor performance, project teams, consultants, vendors, and stakeholder communication

Must-Have Qualifications

• 10–15 years of relevant project experience
• Minimum 3 years managing major engineering, procurement, and/or construction activities
• Demonstrated experience with electric transmission, substation, distribution, or underground utility projects
• Strong project scheduling and budget-management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline preferred
