Project Manager (Large Project Focus), Maryville, TN

About the role

Cherokee Millwright, Inc. is looking for a hard-working, dedicated project manager to join the team. The individual in this role will be responsible for managing all aspects of complex projects from inception to conclusion. Candidates must be safety-orientated and comfortable working in diverse environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as the point of contact on assigned projects.
• Assemble, coordinate, and manage multidisciplinary technical review teams.
• Facilitate and troubleshoot problems associated with developing complex systems or coordinating and developing design projects.
• Provide highly skilled technical and management advice and assistance to department management and personnel.
• Respond to inquiries about projects.
• Chair project review and pre-submittal meetings.
• Establish and maintain liaison with boards, committees, and commissions as required.
• Assist in developing departmental plans, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Perform project design for civil engineering projects.
• Coordinate schedules of staff and other interested parties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least two years of previous experience in project management.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands
