Project Manager, Land Development
About the Role
Halff has an immediate opening for a Project Manager in our Richardson office with our Land Development team. The ideal candidate brings at least 5-7 years of civil engineering experience with commercial, industrial, and residential projects. The selected individual will oversee design, planning, project delivery, and other related services. This position also involves managing client and city relationships and assisting in business development, providing an excellent career development opportunity to build leadership skills and contribute to meaningful community projects.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary project team coordinating directly with clients, sub-consultants, and other design team members to ensure successful project completion, meeting client expectations, deadlines, and quality standards.
- Maintain timely and responsive communication with clients, addressing their needs, keeping them informed of project status, and acting as a trusted advisor.
- Develop and maintain client relationships throughout North Texas and beyond.
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities by leveraging client interactions, market awareness, and professional networks.
- Coordinate with municipal and other authorities having jurisdiction for project requirements, submittals, process flow, and approvals.
- Own project technical design and production efforts as the project engineer of record.
- Supervise and provide technical design and plan direction to Engineer in Training (EIT), Lead Engineer (PE), and technical staff, while assisting in their training and development.
- Coordinate projects through the full project life cycle from concept to construction.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently at various stages of design, permitting, and construction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- PE License in Texas.
- 5-7 years of experience in Land Development.
- Strong experience working in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Client interaction and development experience.
- Positive attitude as a team member and willingness to contribute to a collaborative workspace.
