About the role
WDF Inc., a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a Project Manager - Job Order Contracting to join their Mount Vernon, NY office.
Job Description
- Prepare, monitor, and control project budget, costs, and projections to ensure overall project profitability and accurate financial reporting.
- Negotiate changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractors.
- Market and secure additional work with client; responsible for the project change management process.
- Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.
- Maintain liaison with prime client and A/E contacts, to facilitate construction activities.
- Initiate and maintain liaison with subcontractors, ensuring productivity and efficient use of materials & equipment.
- Monitor/control construction process through direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget.
- Investigate and identify all potential impacts to the project and implement corrective measures.
- Represent company in project meetings, assist in labor negotiations/strategy meetings.
- Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with Client.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar from an accredited institution and 10 or more years of building construction experience.
- Five (5) or more years Project Management experience managing multiple construction projects.
- Experience/knowledge with Job Order Contracting (JOC), unit pricing, requirement pricing required.
- Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.
- Knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques, as well as accounting principles.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
- MS Office applications (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of industry software (Procure, Bluebeam, Primavera, Estimating Software).
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
