Project Manager IV – Project Delivery – San Francisco Public Works (5508)

About the role

San Francisco Public Works Project Delivery Division seeks a Project Manager IV for the Project Management Bureau. This role manages projects under the Facilities Renewal Program, focusing on facility needs such as HVAC, roofing, and elevator replacement, renovation.

Responsibilities

• Executing solicitations for professional services and construction contracts
• Overseeing planning phase and conceptual design
• Managing design phase activities, including design coordination and regulatory approvals
• Selecting project delivery methods and monitoring construction phase activities
• Maintaining project budget, funding, cost, and schedule
• Reviewing and coordinating change orders
• Coordinating with public, private contractors, special interest groups, and regulatory agencies
• Serving as primary contact for all parties involved in the project
• Supervising other Project Managers and technical staff

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in architecture, engineering, or planning; or six (6) years of relevant experience
• Four (4) years of project coordination experience, including two (2) years in major projects
• Four (4) additional years of project coordination experience, including two (2) years in major projects
• Eight (8) years of relevant experience in architecture, engineering, or construction management
• California registration as a professional engineer or architect; or four (4) additional years of project coordination experience

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience, or eight years of relevant experience
• Additional qualifications include California registration as a professional engineer or architect, or four years of project coordination experience
