Job Description
This position plans, organizes, monitors, and oversees highly complex projects and project portfolios in support of operational excellence and system integration. Specific responsibilities include project work plan development, establishment of project communication and risk management plans, workflow process redesign, metric development, and return on investment analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develops and manages project work plans and communication plans.
- Establishes and implements risk management strategies.
- Oversees workflow process redesign and metric development.
- Analyzes ROI and provides actionable recommendations.
- Provides leadership to cross-functional teams, including managing other project managers and coordinators.
- Escalates issues to project sponsors/owners and uses project management tools and standards.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Public Health, Hospital Administration, or Business Administration.
- Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
- 8 years recent relevant experience.
Skills and Knowledge
- Project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities/projects simultaneously and meet tight, often conflicting deadlines.
- Thorough knowledge of healthcare delivery and quality improvement.
- Able to gain cooperation and support through effective use of influence and persuasion.
- Conceptual, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Skills in solving complex problems and developing actionable recommendations.
- Detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision/intervention.
- Customer service focus in all decisions and actions.
- Ability to cultivate a network within Sutter Health to gain support from senior leaders.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing, project management, and presentation applications.
- Exceptional verbal/written communications and presentation skills.

Pay
- $129,188.80 to $193,793.60 / annual salary.
- Bay Area Pay Range: $148,574.00 to $222,872.00 / annual salary.
