Project Manager - Interiors Division

Client Details: A nationally recognized, employee-owned general contractor and construction management firm with a strong presence in the Midwest. Specializes in complex industrial, manufacturing, automotive, commercial, and infrastructure projects. Known for delivering large-scale, technically demanding projects with a focus on safety, quality, schedule, and client relationships. About the role

Oversee and manage construction projects within the interiors sector, ensuring completion on time, within scope, and on budget. Coordinate with teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results in Detroit.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize interior construction projects within specified deadlines and budgets.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and project alignment.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress and implement adjustments as necessary to meet project goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Review project documentation, including contracts, invoices, and change orders.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Resolve issues promptly to maintain project momentum and quality standards.
• Manage commercial interior construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, including budgets, schedules, subcontractors, RFIs, submittals, procurement, and client communication.

Requirements

• Experience managing construction projects, particularly in the interiors sector.
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
• Familiarity with construction safety standards and building codes.
• Effective communication and leadership skills to manage teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to problem-solve and adapt to changing project demands.
• Strong experience with interior build-outs, finishes, MEP coordination, millwork, and managing multiple trades while maintaining schedule, quality, and profitability.
