About the role
Serves as project manager responsible for overall project planning, execution, control and closure of civil works projects associated with flood risk management, navigation, hydropower, environmental, recreation, disaster response and recovery, work for others, water supply, special projects and other civil works related activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary project delivery teams and manages resources in planning, engineering, acquisition, construction, real estate and other supporting activities with delegated decision authority to meet project objectives.
- Serve as the primary point-of-contact with sponsor/stakeholders; various federal, state and local government agencies; Congressional interests; and other external organizations.
- Provide input and assistance to budget development and defense processes; District programming decisions and operating budget.
- Keep leadership informed about projects through routine updates, project review boards, and other briefings.

Qualifications
To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. I have one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service which includes applying management concepts, principles, methods, and, practices associated with the initiation, planning, management, control, coordination and execution of Civil Works projects; preparing schedules and budget estimates; tracking and reporting progress against schedules and budget estimates; functioning as an authoritative source for decisions and guidance dealing with compromises and changes in project objectives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Benefits
Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Direct deposit of pay is required. This is a(n) CP-18-Construction, Engineering, Infrastructure Career Field position. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs IS NOT authorized. Relocation/Recruitment Incentives may be authorized (up to 25%).
