About the role
Securitas Electronic Security Technology and Solutions groups are experiencing tremendous growth. This position provides leadership for all aspects of project management, including project delivery, customer satisfaction, and financial target attainments. The Project Manager owns the overall planning, initiation, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closing of projects and is accountable for project success.
The Project Manager will manage projects from analysis and pre-planning through implementation and close, ensuring completion of project scope on-time, within budget, and with quality. This role requires handling multiple projects simultaneously, each with varying schedules, scopes of work, staffing levels, and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Effectively plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects using appropriate principles, methods, and standard techniques.
- Develop planning documents including project plans, scope documents, statements of work (SOWs), charters, schedules, and other sub-plans (e.g., communications, quality assurance, resource, procurement, deployment).
- Develop requirements to determine scope, effort, schedule, time frame, funding, staffing, resource allocation, and metrics.
- Manage projects, including issue/risk identification and resolution, change management, reporting, internal/external communication, financial management, and metrics.
- Identify, document, and prioritize project change requests and facilitate the approval process; re-plan as necessary.
- Set and manage expectations with resource managers regarding project allocation and performance.
- Ensure effective Quality Assurance/Quality Control mechanisms are in place and adhered to.
- Execute project closeout activities, including turnover to operations teams.
- Collaborate with other groups and departments to ensure project success.
- Follow up and report on key metrics, including customer satisfaction.
- Lead the definition, execution, and delivery of project deliverables.
- Generate new techniques, ideas, and solutions to improve delivery quality, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Identify lessons learned and share them with the organization.
- Coach and mentor new team members.
- Support other groups as needs arise.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience or 5 years of experience in a security industry-related position.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Demonstrated successful history of Project Management leadership, including leading multiple simultaneous projects for a minimum of two years.
- Demonstrated skills in the application of Project Management fundamentals, methodologies, and tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including documentation of findings and recommendations.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment and build relationships.
- Proficiency in scheduling tools, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
