About the Role
Join a growing construction team where you'll have the opportunity to lead complex, high-profile industrial construction and development projects from concept to completion while building long-term relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams. This hybrid office-and-field role requires a proactive, construction-first professional who is comfortable taking ownership and driving results.
You'll work closely with senior leadership, consultants, subcontractors, brokers, municipalities, and field teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Manage ground-up industrial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Coordinate design development, site planning, and pre-construction activities
- Lead project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and execution efforts
- Partner closely with Superintendents, consultants, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain project momentum
- Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, and project documentation
- Facilitate project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Drive issue resolution and proactively identify project risks
- Independently manage permitting and entitlement processes with local municipalities
- Coordinate with design teams and consultants to ensure permit packages are complete and submitted on schedule
- Track approval timelines and navigate permitting requirements with limited internal support
- Work alongside development and brokerage partners throughout the project lifecycle
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders
Requirements
- 3+ years of project management experience within commercial and/or industrial construction
- Proven success delivering ground-up commercial or industrial construction projects
- Strong preference for experience with: Tilt-wall construction, Distribution centers, Warehouse and industrial facilities, and Metal building systems
- Ability to independently manage permitting processes and municipal approvals
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, drawings, specifications, scheduling, and safety requirements
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and change order administration
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
