The Project Manager II role is responsible for the management of work both within the development team and for the professional services implementation team. They manage the intake and management of client enhancements, system bugs, and project requests, communicate feasibility, create scope of work documents, estimate costs, schedule timelines, and address potential delays. They resource the project team, ensure work is completed on time and within budget, and own and maintain client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Tech Support on the intake of client requests
- Work closely with the professional services implementation team on managing projects, resources, timelines, and budgets
- Collaborate with internal teams and across departments
- Communicate feasibility, cost estimates, and scheduled timelines to clients
- Coordinate between clients and developers to obtain clarity around requests or issues, utilizing the most appropriate communication method
- Prioritize and schedule enhancements/projects for developers
- Coordinate between internal staff and third parties on items requiring cross-team collaboration
- Manage issues and risks that arise
- Own client relationships and act as a point of contact and escalation for clients
- Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and scheduled calls to identify priorities, provide updates, and discuss issues
- Learn basic navigation and troubleshooting skills specific to the IMS system
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant business experience
- At least five years of project management experience
- At least five years of client-facing business analysis, product management, or equivalent experience involving IT, marketing, customer service, human resources, and development
- Proven experience successfully managing maintenance requests and/or multiple projects concurrently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail with excellent follow-through
- Travel required up to 10% of the time
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds
- Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer
- Specific vision abilities required, including close vision (e.g., working on a computer)
- Frequent sitting and/or standing
Skills

Pay
$70,000 - $90,000 / year
The Professional Services (PS) and Customer Success (CX) bonus plans are a quarterly monetary bonus based on individual and practice performance against specific business metrics. Eligibility is determined by several factors, including start date, good standing in the company, and active status at the time of payout. The Vertafore Incentive Plan (VIP) is an annual monetary bonus for eligible employees based on both individual and company performance. Commission plans are tailored to each sales role but may include quota, MBOs, and ABPMs. Salespeople receive their formal compensation plan within 30 days of hire.
