Responsibilities
- Delegate and manage tasks among team members as appropriate to their skill level and risk to the project.
- Effectively lead team ensuring good cross-functional communications and provide input to functional managers on team and team member performance.
- Communicate with personnel in various locations and all management levels.
- Liaison between the team and the project sponsors; leads phase and business reviews, project meeting minutes, issues log, metrics, and other key communications.
- Track project progress and be accountable for scope schedule and budget.
- Identify resources required for assigned project activities using senior managers for assistance and build teams to complete the activities.
- Identify and coordinate all activities required to complete the project or task through the team and ensure its timely completion ensuring current company policies and practices are followed and accurate documentation is kept.
- Develop project budgets, resource allocations and timelines.
- Serve customers thru OTD and quality of project deliverables.
- Generate high-level plans, communications, and schedules on larger projects requiring prioritization and workload adjustments.
- The ability to assess business risks and prioritize tasks among many activities will be a key skill to have for this position.
- Identify, communicate, and manage moderate levels of technical risk.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, required.
- At minimum 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in precision machining.
- Familiarity with New Product Introduction (NPI) and validation processes.
- Strong organization and leadership skills.
- Project Management training or certification, such as CAPM or PMP, is preferred.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and regulatory requirements in the medical device industry.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Physical & Mental Demands
- Walking is required within the office/shop areas.
- Sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers are physical requirements.
- Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
- Must be able to walk, sit and occasionally climb and balance.
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds and move objects in a safe manner using proper equipment.
- Must have dexterity with hands.
- Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner (results oriented).
