Project Manager I

Responsibilities

• Affirms and administers the project safety plan
• Supports project controls and procedures, and manages risk mitigation processes
• Creates and follows through on change items and participates in financial forecast verification
• Creates and manages a project-specific quality plan and executes it
• Creates and manages a closeout plan and executes it
• Directs and supervises work of project administration, superintendents, and engineers to set operational priorities
• Supports subcontracting strategy, writes scope, and ensures integrity of buyout process
• Enforces all contract aspects, develops risk mitigation plans, and prepares contracts, agreements, and purchase orders
• Enrolls in insurance and tracks compliance of trade contractors
• Supports development of project estimate, design coordination, and GMPP
• Prepares monthly schedule updates, including analysis and narratives for select packages
• Assists in constructability and coordination reviews
• Develops a basic understanding of local market areas to assist in networking strategy
• Trains direct reports on processes, procedures, and daily tasks
• Manages workload and performance of direct reports, ensuring alignment with company standards
• Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members
• Aids in communicating company and department strategy to direct reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• 4-7 years of relevant experience
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong technical and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of industry standard software, Microsoft Office (preferred)
