Responsibilities
- Affirms and administers the project safety plan
- Supports project controls and procedures, and manages risk mitigation processes
- Creates and follows through on change items and participates in financial forecast verification
- Creates and manages a project-specific quality plan and executes it
- Creates and manages a closeout plan and executes it
- Directs and supervises work of project administration, superintendents, and engineers to set operational priorities
- Supports subcontracting strategy, writes scope, and ensures integrity of buyout process
- Enforces all contract aspects, develops risk mitigation plans, and prepares contracts, agreements, and purchase orders
- Enrolls in insurance and tracks compliance of trade contractors
- Supports development of project estimate, design coordination, and GMPP
- Prepares monthly schedule updates, including analysis and narratives for select packages
- Assists in constructability and coordination reviews
- Develops a basic understanding of local market areas to assist in networking strategy
- Trains direct reports on processes, procedures, and daily tasks
- Manages workload and performance of direct reports, ensuring alignment with company standards
- Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members
- Aids in communicating company and department strategy to direct reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 4-7 years of relevant experience
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong technical and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of industry standard software, Microsoft Office (preferred)
