About the role
The Project Manager I coordinates and executes assigned projects to ensure they are completed on schedule, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Supports the planning and coordination of assigned projects to meet established timelines, goals, and performance expectations.
- Collaborates with project team members to define tasks, responsibilities, and project milestones.
- Maintains project progress and adjusts schedules or resource needs as required.
- Collaborates with project personnel, contractors, and other contributors to ensure alignment and timely execution.
- Prepares project updates, status reports, and documentation for leadership and stakeholders.
- Identifies project risks and supports efforts to develop solutions for challenges encountered during execution.
- Communicates with internal and external partners to support project requirements and address operational issues.
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline; 2+ years of experience in project coordination, construction support, equipment installation support, or related project-based roles.
- Preferred: Experience working with contractors or equipment installation teams.
- Basic understanding of equipment installation or heavy-lifting processes.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and contractors.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain project documentation.
- Proficiency in general office productivity tools.
- Ability to analyze information and support decision-making related to project activities.
- Ability to work in varied environments, including office and field settings.
- Frequent standing, walking, and movement when working at project sites.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to work in environments with varying climate conditions when on-site.
- May perform tasks both indoors and outdoors.
- Occasional exposure to temperatures below 32°F or above 90°F.
- May encounter noise, dust, and other environmental conditions typical of manufacturing or construction areas.
- Interaction with contractors, operations staff, and project teams.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by work area safety standards.
