Project Manager, Hospitality

About the Role

ARCO/Murray National Construction is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager who is passionate about the design/build construction process to join our Hospitality team based in downtown Chicago. Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budgets.
• Participate in proposal meetings to review scope of work, discuss cost-reduction strategies, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts and fees.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors.
• Identify and investigate opportunities to procure materials or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to budget or schedule.
• Collaborate with the Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes, project schedules, and site logistics plans.
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings to address constructability, sequencing, and manpower issues.
• Conduct weekly or bi-weekly on-site OAC meetings to review progress and address challenges directly with the client.
• Track and manage project performance vs. budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports.
• Ensure the construction process is enjoyable for clients, subcontractors, and vendors without compromising quality or safety.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• 2-5 years of construction management or engineering design experience.
• Previous experience leading ground-up commercial, hospitality, or restaurant projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Pay

Typical base compensation for the Project Manager role is between $84,000.00 and $135,000.00. Candidates with extensive experience may exceed this range. The role is also eligible for discretionary bonus compensation based on individual and company performance.
