Project Manager - Heavy Civil Construction with AIS Infrastructure

About the role

The Project Manager oversees and manages construction projects from initiation to completion, reporting to and assisted by a Senior Project Manager. This role ensures successful execution of construction and industrial services projects while adhering to AIS Infrastructure's safety standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets under the guidance of a Senior PM.
• Coordinate and supervise all project activities, including subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure project compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and standards.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
• Manage project resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.
• Conduct regular project meetings and communicate project status to stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with project specifications.
• Prepare and present project reports to management.
• Perform technical writing and assist in bidding work.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management (e.g., Project Engineer, Assistant PM, or PM roles).
• Experience with horizontal/heavy civil construction, including site development, mass excavation, grading, trenching, underground utilities, and heavy concrete.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for access to secured facilities, including military bases.
• OSHA 30-hour construction outreach training.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and best practices.
• Familiarity with construction management software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, HCSS HeavyBid/HeavyJob, CMiC, Sage/Timberline, Trimble Viewpoint/Vista, Microsoft Project).
• Strong knowledge of construction project management principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with public infrastructure construction involving heavy concrete (e.g., bridges, foundations, dams, reservoirs, highways, airports).
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional).
